Food for Life NQ

Too many young children in our local community are starved of nutritious meals to nuture their young bodies and minds. We have a vision...a dream...to foster change! Our aim is to not only fill their tummies but to fill their hearts and spirits with hope, to remind them they are not forgotten...

Days For Girls

Days for Girls is a grassroots non-profit creating a more dignified, humane and sustainable world for girls through advocacy, reproductive health awareness, education and sustainable feminine hygiene -- because no girl should go without.

Muddy Soles

A weekend for Year 10-12 students and young adults, featuring music, workshops, keynote presentations, prayer and discussion.  Forming young people in leadership and Catholic social teaching.

Centacare Marlin Coast Respite

The Centacare Marlin Coast Respite offers social support group activities to eligible older people and young people with disabilities to continue living in their community. The Centre offers activities to contribute to the enhancement of their health and wellbeing in a warm, friendly and homely environment. 

YAPS

YAPS Animal Refuge rescue abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats in Cairns area, Far North Queensland. Their refuge animals stay with them and are lovingly cared for until their ‘forever families’ come along to adopt them. Some end up living out their days with them as permanent guests.

Frog Safe

The situation in Cairns is becoming very dire for frogs and the Founding President of Frog Safe wanted to do something measurable and proactive to help frogs. 

Wildcare

The aims and objectives of Wildcare Australia Inc are to:rescue and care for sick, injured, orphaned and displaced native wildlife with the intention of returning them to the wild. Provide training to volunteers in all aspects of wildlife rehabilitation, and promote the protection of wildlife by maintaining and re-establishing habitat, and by controlling feral and domestic animals.

RSPCA

The RSPCA is a community based charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.RSPCA undertakes a variety of tasks such as the operation of shelters and the Inspectorate plus community education and fundraising.

Friends of the Botanic Gardens

The Friends of the Botanic Gardens Cairns Inc. are more than a group of garden lovers. With over 200 members the Friends are a group of like-minded people committed to preserving and enhancing the Cairns Botanic Gardens.

Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is one of the world's largest Christian social welfare organisations Working in Australia for over 130 years. The Salvation Army helps more than 1 million Australians every year – that's one person every 30 seconds!

Donating Blood

1 in 3 Australians will need blood in their lifetime - but only 1 in 30 donates.

 

If you're between 16 and 70 years old and healthy, you may be able to give blood.

Meals on Wheels

The purpose of Cairns Meals on Wheels Inc is to provide service to frail, aged persons and younger people with disabilities and their carers so that they may remain healthy and secure in their home, taking away the risk of premature or inappropriate institutionalisation.

Clifton Creek Primary School

Clifton Creek Primary School, nestled in the beautiful East-Gippsland region of Victoria was decimated by the disasterous bushfires of 2019 and 2020. Supporting our Gippsland friends will enable them to rebuild their beloved school, reinstating their ability to educate the beautiful young minds of Victoria.

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs (OLQM)) Secondary School operates out of a Diocese-run primary school site that was shut down in 1975 due to lack of funding. The old site was reopened in 2018 with the help of the Archdiocese of Honiara, the Marist Fathers and Australian Marist Solidarity. Supporting this beloved school will create the ability to educate more beautiful minds as it is the only Catholic secondary school on Makira.
