'A Spirited Tomorrow'

wednesday 28th july

'Catholic Schools On Stage' was a success! A night of building and maintaining connections between the wonderful people who call the Cairns region home, with the intention of utilizing the tremendous power of music to bridge the gap with others in need from all around the world.

In partnership with St Andrew's Catholic College,

THE GIFT OF MUSIC, CAIRNS, is grateful to all who have given so freely of their time and talents to make this event what it is. This evening, over 650 students from Catholic Schools in the Cairns Diocese joined together, connecting those who have, to those who have not. This is a living example of Catholic Faith in Action and a fitting celebration of Catholic Education Week and the 200 Years of Catholic Education in Australia!

Featured bands and ensembles from:

  • St Andrew's Catholic College

  • St Mary's Catholic College

  • Holy Cross School

  • St Augustine's College

  • Mackillop Catholic College

  • St Monica's College

  • St Gerrard Majella Primary School

  • St Joseph's School

  • Our Lady Help of Christians School

With food specially prepared by Chef Brandon and St Andrew's Catholic College Hospitality Students.

All proceeds from the event went towards

'Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School, Solomon Islands,' a school funded by 'Catholic Mission.'

Catholic Mission aims to:

  • Provide safe and sustainable learning and living for students and staff by renovating and adding to current facilities;

  • Increase the school’s capacity to cater to larger numbers of students;

  • Engage with the broader community to promote greater collaboration and desire for youth to attend school.

Our support allows students, staff and the wider community to access inclusive and equitable quality education.
